Taupo District Council Catenary Cable System
Force Engineering facilitated the design, fabrication & installation of Taupo District Council’s Catenary Cable System, located on the waterfront right in the heart of Taupo city.
Our team worked closely with Taupo Council’s Architects to bring their concept for the Awatea space to life, completing the final aspects of this world class project in our home town in just under 8 weeks.
Our skilled tradesmen meticulously fabricated each component of the Tapuaeharuru project in the workshop, before all seven of the nearly 6 meter poles were transported to site for their precise erection. An intricate piece of engineering that required each pole to be placed in position on the exact coordinates surveyed in order for the structure to withold the over 40 tonne of strain the stainless cable system overhead was designed to then load.
A complex project that put the expertise of all our team to the test.
After a successful grand opening in late 2023, our workmanship is now an admired piece in the Taupo community for locals & visitors to enjoy.
